honored Longtime Member Bob Dayton
on May 11, 2010

Bob's career with Montgomery Fire Department
 Walden FD 1984 to 1997
Bob Dayton Award created in 1993
Montgomery FD 1997 to 2004
ESD #2 Commissioner 1993 to 2000

A long time member of Montgomery County ESD #2 and Montgomery Fire Department passed away on March 10, 2011 at the age of 89.  Bob Dayton served many years on ESD #2 in every position from President to Secretary.  He was an instrumental part in setting up the Walden Fire Department which later merged with the Montgomery Fire Department, at Bob's request.  Bob also served in all positions within the fire department from Assistant Chief to Firefighter.  In May 2010, our new Pierce Engine that serves Walden was dedicated to Bob for his service.  Bob Dayton will be missed - he was one of the nicest and most giving individuals you will ever meet.
